Reflections in the swamp

It was during a visit to Vøringsfossen, one of Norway’s most famous waterfalls, that this smaller scene caught my attention. While we were moving around to admire the falls from different viewpoints, my eyes kept drifting back to a quiet little pond nearby.
The sun was shining, and the still surface of the water revealed a forest inside it. Trees, branches, and even the sky appeared below, as if another world was hiding there. At the center, a moss-covered rock seemed suspended between the real forest above and its twin in the water.
It was a simple scene compared to the grandeur of the waterfall, but sometimes those quieter details feel just as striking. What I tried to capture here is that balance between light, reflection, and stillness—a reminder that even next to something as powerful as Vøringsfossen, the calm moments can stand out.
